Nameservers are specialized servers in the Domain Name System (DNS) that manage the mapping between domain names and IP addresses. They direct traffic from a domain name to the correct web server.
When you register a domain, it initially points to the nameservers of your domain registrar. To make your domain function properly with our services, you need to change the nameservers to ours or setup dns records. This ensures that all web traffic is directed correctly to our servers, enabling your website and email services to operate properly.
Switching nameservers
Search for the DNS settings at your registrar.
Find nameservers and update them to the following:
ns1.envision.nl
ns2.envision.nl
Typically, there are four input fields for nameserver information, but you only need to fill in two of them. This is sufficient for proper configuration.
External provider
If you wish to retain your current DNS registrar for other purposes while using our servers, you can achieve this by modifying or adding various records. This configuration will direct your domain to our servers while keeping the registration with your existing provider. This approach can be useful if you are using email services through your current DNS registrar, or if you prefer to separate DNS management from your control panel (such as Cloudflare)
If you choose this option, you will need to add specific records to ensure proper functionality. Please visit the DNS Records documentation on how to setup configuration.
